Wschowa
Situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Wschowa, this elegant family residence was designed to offer a timeless balance of comfort and sophistication.
The project involved a full renovation and architectural reconfiguration of the house, including the creation of a bespoke staircase that connects the lower and upper floors. This staircase was not part of the original layout – we designed and introduced it to enable the addition of a luxurious master ensuite, home office, utility room and a private cinema room on the upper floor. A sculptural chandelier cascading through the stairwell becomes the dramatic focal point, while the curved dark timber handrail and smooth plaster walls highlight the home’s architectural elegance.
The ground floor is the heart of the residence – a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area designed to host family gatherings. A striking quartzite island anchors the kitchen, complemented by bespoke cabinetry and carefully selected natural stones. Neutral tones are layered with warm textures, brushed brass details and soft fabrics to create an inviting yet sophisticated ambience.
Every detail throughout the home was carefully considered: from leather wall panelling, silk wallpapers and woven textures to aged mirrors, bronzes and artisan finishes. Each element was curated to enrich the scheme with depth and tactility, while ensuring the interiors feel timeless and serene.
The bathrooms were designed as calm sanctuaries, featuring statement marble vanities with dramatic veining, elegant brassware and refined joinery. The house also includes two distinct powder rooms: one clad in gold linen-textured wallpaper, adding depth and understated glamour, and the other centred around marble surfaces, highlighted by ambient lighting to create a serene and intimate atmosphere.
The bedrooms for the children each carry their own unique personality, blending functionality with warmth. Bespoke joinery ensures ample storage, while soft palettes are accented with playful touches that reflect the individuality of each child. The guest bedrooms continue the calm neutral base, enhanced with refined detailing and tactile fabrics.
Upstairs, the master suite offers a sense of retreat with bespoke wardrobes, a dressing island and a serene palette of layered neutrals accented with metallic details. The adjoining ensuite, with its dramatic marble basins and walk-in shower, provides a spa-like atmosphere.
The cinema room combines comfort and luxury, with deep upholstered seating, tailored lighting and acoustic finishes, creating the perfect space for family entertainment. The home office, bathed in natural light, was designed as a calm retreat with soft sage accents and integrated joinery, offering a balance of practicality and elegance.
Throughout the house, art plays a key role. A curated selection of contemporary pieces and sculptures punctuate the interiors, adding personality and depth to each space.
